Prayer

Whether praying on our own or in groups, prayer is at the heart of our church family.  Weekly Parish Prayer Meetings take place at 7pm to 7.30pm on Wednesdays, in the Edward Chapel, in Lady St Mary Church.  We give thanks and praise to God for the many blessings received in the parish and bring before Him those things, which He lays on our hearts.  We pray for our world as well as the activities that are taking place in our churches, schools, the parish as a whole, our mission, those who are ill, grieving and the requests placed in the Prayer Book by visitors.

During Lent, all those in our church family are encouraged to pray for our churches, people and Lent activities during our 40 Days of Prayer for Lent.

Members of the Wareham Church Family regularly meet to support and collect contributions for the local Food Bank. This sometimes leads to praying with people.

There are always clergy and people who are available to pray for others after many of our services. At some of our Sunday services there are opportunities for people to receive Prayer Ministry.  If you have a particular prayer request, please do ask for prayer or put them in the Prayer Book.  Also various groups meet for prayer and intercession in the parish.
